I know teachers and librarians are always looking for good books to read aloud with their lessons.
These 17 books will be perfect read alouds to accompany any and all lessons to teach the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter).
Read Alouds through the Seasons
A great rhyming book that goes through all of the seasons and events throughout the year.
A simple non-fiction book about all of the seasons. The same author wrote non-fiction books about each of the four seasons.
Spring
A simple book with good rhythm.
Amazing pictures with a fun concept.
Summer
It's possibly better for after summer at the beginning of the school year, but it is a good read for having an imagination vacation. This is a great book for a writing lesson for older grades.
A classic award winning book about fun things that you do occur during the summer.
The same series as above, Let it Rain. A simple book with good rhythm. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.
Fall
A fabulous read aloud for all ages about all things Fall aka pumpkins.
Absolutely beautiful pictures about the obvious, leaves falling.
Rawlinson has Fletcher books about each of the seasons. Fletcher and the Springtime Blossoms, Fletcher and the Big Show, Fletcher and the Snowflake Christmas
Harder to find this book, but I've always had luck with these 1 cent books on Amazon.
Winter
A great book with good rhythm about winter and what bears do during the winter, hibernate.
Classic award winning book.
Same simple book that is perfect for the younger kids.
Happy Read Alouds through the Seasons for Preschoolers, Kindergartners, and Toddlers reading!
