ABC See, Hear, Do gets 5 Stars {educational, non-fiction, preschool, kindergarten}

ABC See, Hear, Do: Learning to read 55 words by Stefanie Hohl gets 5 out of 5 stars in my book review. Simple book for parents to use to teach their kids the sounds the letters make. This would be great for preschool, kindergarten, and any kid that struggles to learn the letters' sounds. Phonics, but using actions to help, is good for many that struggle to read. Book, Parenting, Educational, Phonics, Kinesthetic, Fun, Active, Silly. make learning fun. Workbook, Ready and easy to use. I read ABC See, Hear, Do: Learning to read 55 words by Stefanie Hohl, I analyzed it, and I worked through part of the book with my 5 and 2 year old.

I almost rated this educational workbook 4.5 stars.  I really enjoyed the simplicity and ease of use for parents.  I loved that the book was ready to go and that the pictures were big and colorful.

From an educational standpoint I love that this book teaches kids visually, auditorily, and kinesthetically.  As a teacher I know that it is important to teach kids through multiple learning styles, but that technique is often forgotten when it comes to phonics and learning to read.

To be honest, there is so much I really love about this book, but I only give a 5 star rating if the book also has a wow factor.  I didn't have the wow factor with this book, but then I saw on September 1, 2017 ABC See, Hear, Do 2: Blended beginning sounds  comes out and I audibly said, "Ohhhhhh!"

It's when I realized I was excited to continue using this teaching method that I noticed ABC See, Hear, Do truly does have the wow factor.  This book has a different "Wow" then what the librarian side of me usually sees.  This wow speaks to teach in me; the side of me that gets excited for curriculum materials and school supplies.

ABC See, Hear, Do gets 5 out of 5 stars.  This book has a ready to go and simple for parents to use. This book is simple enough for the young audience, and it is also effective for kids to learn.  This book has useful information for the parent/teacher yet the information doesn't overwhelm; it only informs.  Simple and colorful pictures, and a teaching method that had my husband laughing at me as I was practicing by myself sums up why this book earned a full 5 stars.
