The 20 absolute BEST Valentine Books on the market today.  These 20 books make great read alouds, are picture books as well as non-ficiton books.  These reads are enjoyed by toddlers, preschoolers, Kindergarten, 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at least.  Parents and teachers will enjoy reading them as well. It's Splat, a fun loving cat, and this story is one of my favorite "Splat" books.

A fun story with great rhythm.  Teachers, librarians, and music teachers will love to read this book aloud and discuss what a ballad is in their lesson.  
Best for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.


A cute Valentine's Day book for boys and girls alike.  
Toddlers enjoy this book, but I'd say it's best for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. 


A fun Valentine's Day book boys will especially love. 
Best for 1st through 3rd grade. 


This is more of a "love" book and less of a Valentine's Day book, but it is a pretty cool non-fiction read on how people say I Love You around the world. 
Best for 4th through 8th grade. 


This isn't quite a Valentine's Day book, but toddler to first grade boys that love dinosaurs and these Yolen books will enjoy this one as well. 


Valentine's Day books are so fun. Books about love and kisses and hugs are fun to read with your kids.  These 20 books are all fabulous!  Go get them.
